A new world

So, I just started playing DCUO a few days ago.
I was looking around for free to play games on Steam and saw DC Universe Online.
I had heard about it before and was exited to try it out.

I never was much of a comic-fan and I have just seen very few comic-based movies (my favorite has to be the Dark Knight) but I immediately fell in love with the world.
There's a bunch of cool videos to progress the storyline or just entertain after successful big quests and all in all the world just seems very harmonic.

My only prior MMORPG experience stems from Shin Megami Tensei Imagine which has an awesome setting and great ideas but sadly many bad flaws that seriously limit the long-term motivation.
In addition their $-shop is a HUGE rip-off whereas the DCUO stuff you have to pay for seems sensible as well as at a decent price (while Legendary status still seems a bit expensive to me).

Having played for about 30 hours now I must say it is very cool.
Leveling was really easy at the beginning, but since about level 15 it's getting tougher and tougher,
also because I don't really have any easy quests anymore.
I'll try to add some useful links to DCUO stuff to this blog in the next days and will also report on my ongoing progress.
